Hasan R. Sayed Hasan, Founder & Managing Director

Master Media was founded by Hasan R. Sayed Hasan, an award winning broadcast media executive with 20 years of significant, progressive experience in the Media Production & Broadcasting industry. Hasan is Master Media's Managing Director and also Chairman of the “Arab High-Definition TV Group”, part of ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union).


Before establishing Master Media, Hasan was one of the founders of twofour54°, the Media Zone Authority- Abu Dhabi. At twofour54°, Hasan established and was Head/ Executive Director of twofour54° intaj, a large state-of-the-art Broadcasting & Media Production facility comprising of 10 High-Definition Television Studios, a 20 TV Channel Playout Centre, a Satellite Teleport, and a wide range of Post-Production facilities.


Hasan joined twofour54° early in 2008 and has managed the design, building, and then successful launch of its technology infrastructure and services, as well as building its operations, engineering and commercial teams. intaj’s client portfolio includes various regional and international players such as Sky News Arabia, CNN International, Endemol, Zodiac Media, Abu Dhabi Sports, Charisma TV, Fox International channels, and many others.


Hasan has been working in the broadcasting industry since 1992, holding senior positions with various TV Broadcasting networks. Between 2006 and 2008, Hasan has served as Chief Technical Officer of CNBC Arabiya, the Arab world's premier business & financial news channel focusing on expanding the network’s regional operations. During the same period, Hasan set up the technology and broadcasting infrastructure of CNBC Africa, headquartered in Johannesburg- South Africa, with broadcasting centres across the African continent.
In 2007, Hasan also oversaw the setup and launch of a larger Pakistani News TV Network with headquarters in Karachi and studios in Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar supported by a large News Gathering operation. He was also a member of the setup team of an international Media University in Dubai.


Hasan was a key founder of Al-Rai TV, the first private television broadcaster in Kuwait launched in 2004 where he was responsible, as the Technical & Operations Director, for building its state-of-the-art production and broadcasting facilities.


Prior to moving to the GCC, Hasan was Technical Advisor to the chairman- Director General of the National Broadcasting Network in Lebanon between 2000 and 2003 and had also held senior Technical positions at New TV and Arab Radio & Television’s Beirut Production & Broadcasting Centre.
Hasan’s expertise and achievements in the Broadcast Media industry were acknowledged in 2007 when he received the “Broadcast Engineer of the Year” Digital Studio Leadership Award for “his efforts and contribution to the growth of broadcast and production in the region”. Under Hasan’s leadership, twofour54°intaj also won the Digital Studio “Studio of the year 2010” then the “Post-Production House of the year 2011” awards. The “Stereoscopic 3D lab”, the first and only of its kind in the MENA region and one of very few globally, which was created by Hasan, won the “MENA Special Recognition Award” at the ASBU-BroadcastPro Awards 2011.
Hasan is a widely networked professional, with a reputable name in the Regional Media & broadcasting industry. He is frequently invited as a speaker in conferences and forums: CABSAT, Arabsat Broadcasting forum, SATCOM, MEBS, The Circle, Medialive!, ASBU BroadcastPro Summit, Saudi Broadcasting Forum, and others. He is also a commentator on industry topics and a regular contributor to various professional publications.
